I was reading a column by one of the birding icons (can't remember if it was Kenn Kaufmann or Peter Dunne) about the same thing--he made a mis-identification out with a birding group. The article was some time ago, but I figure if one of these guys can admit to being wrong, so can I. You'll get better at ID as you gain experience, but no one ever gets 100% of the birds all the time.
